In Memoriam

This page is dedicated to those members of our community who have passed away.
Although they are gone, they live on in our hearts and minds.

Omnia Mutantur, nihil interit - Everything changes, nothing perishes
Ovid

Stan Callihan
(aka "Beachbum")

1945 - 2002

"Life is good. Just the way it is. As a knowing, thinking human I am happier than ever. I spent the first 35 years of my life tied to some goddamned church or other. I lived in fear of saying the wrong thing, thinking the wrong thing or doing the wrong thing. I was so afraid that I would 'die in a sinful condition' my soul would go straight to hell. Guess what? With just a little commonsense and logic I proved that all that was bullshit. There is no hell because there is no hateful god to create one...We live for each and every day and we enjoy the hell out of every second. Especially when we get to tell some addlebrained theist the truth." Stan (04.21.2001)

Steven James McArthur
(aka "MadMordigan)

1973 - 2002

"32; The wages of the righteous bring them life but the income of the wicked brings them cold beer, fast cars and hot chicks."
"33; What the wicked dread shall overtake him, what the righteous dreads will overtake him as well, but he wont be expecting it as much."
Proverbs of Mordigan

Richard Allan Glenn
(aka "WinAce")

1984 - 2005

"When I am dead, my dearest,
Sing no sad songs for me;
Plant thou no roses at my head
Nor shady cypress tree.
Be the green grass above me
With showers and dewdrops wet;
And if thou wilt, remember
And if thou wilt, forget.

I shall not see the shadows,
I shall not feel the rain;
I shall not hear the nightingale
Sing on, as if in pain.
And dreaming through the twilight
That doth not rise nor set
Haply I may remember
And haply may forget."

- Christina Rossetti, Song

Allan designated this poem as an epitaph of sorts in his own farewell message  Many of Allan's essays and other works can be found at the Wonderful World of WinAce.
