are Arts & Crafts movement enthusiasts. The quotation on our homepage is from Gustav Stickley (1858-1942), a leader in the American Arts & Crafts movement. The American A&C movement could be seen as a rejection of Victorian & Edwardian excess; a return to a simpler past. Designers emphasized purity & simplicity in their handcrafted works.
